Welcome to the School of Business Administration and Economics!
Dear first semester students in our Master´s program in Economics,
We are delighted that you have decided to study at Osnabrück University's School of Business Administration and Economics and would like to extend a warm welcome to you!
Our introductory events (program see below) will take place in the week starting October 6, 2025. During this introductory week, we will provide you with all the important information you need for a successful start to your studies. Our student representative committee will also provide you with active support during this week: Students from higher semesters will assist you in creating your timetable and explain how to use the Stud.IP learning management system. And of course there will also be plenty of opportunities to get to know fellow students, e.g. at the city rally, which is also organized by the student representative committee.
You will also receive invitations by email - so keep an eye on your inbox to make sure you don't miss anything!
We look forward to welcoming you all to the introductory events and getting to know you. Until then, we wish you a good time!

Support Course: Advanced Methods of Business and Economics
To support students in the early phase of their Master’s studies, we are offering a Support Course during the first weeks of the semester.
The course is specifically designed to refresh essential methodological foundations in mathematics, statistics and econometrics. In addition to revisiting core concepts, we will work through concrete problems and applications relevant to the Economics curriculum, helping students strengthen their analytical skills in context.
Participation is strongly recommended, especially for students who wish to consolidate their methodological background – however, attendance is not mandatory.
The course will start in the first week of the semester and takes place every Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. in room 15/318.
Further information and materials will be provided via the Stud.IP course "Mathematics and Statistics Crash Course for Master's Students" (course number 9.9998).
We look forward to seeing you there!
